Hi! Nice to meet you!
My name is Larissa Kindred and I'm a master's student in the mental health counseling program at the University of Massachusetts Boston. I have a bachelor's degree in Women's and Gender Studies from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. My academic focus is on gender dynamics and the intersection of race, gender, and sexuality with mental health. I was born and raised LDS and was an endowed member for many of my adult years. While I am no longer practicing, I feel a strong camaraderie with LDS women because of our shared experiences.

More about me...
I am mixed race Asian-American and grew up in Utah. My husband, Jeff, is a physician and we have 3 kids that are all adopted. I am an animal lover and we have an Australian Shepherd dog, a Bengal cat, a Holland Lop rabbit and a guinea pig. I am a major foodie and I love trying new restaurants and different types of food, although, we all know that Asian food is top tier. I also love reading, hiking, and traveling. My most favorite activity in the world is having meaningful conversations and connecting with people I care about. In 2020 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and was treated through 2021. That experience was life-changing for me and I'm very happy to be known as a breast cancer survivor now!
